He was named the 1955 recipient of the William E. Conniff Hockey Award for “ability, loyalty and scholarship” in 1955 and went on to play for two seasons with the Springfield Flyers of the Atlantic Hockey League. He then went on to work for his father, NHL Hall of Famer Eddie Shore, and the Springfield Indians, where he served in various capacities for 35 years. His service was rewarded in 2002 when he was inducted into the Springfield Hockey Hall of Fame.

Shore has been an active member of AIC’s Alumni Varsity Club since 1978, which assists AIC in promoting and fostering interest in AIC’s student-athletes and athletic programs. He has served as the organization’s president on two separate occasions, and also served for many years as secretary and treasurer.
