Ray "Lukas" Lukasiewicz stared at AIC as a member of the baseball and football teams. A two-time United Press All-New England selection in football, he received honorable mention to the Little All-America team and was named team MVP in 1952. On the diamond, Lukas was named the Most Outstanding Freshman as the captain of the freshman baseball team.

After his playing days, Lukas continued his involvement in sports by coaching little league baseball and girls’ softball. He was inducted into the Norwich (Conn.) Hall of Fame in June 2008.
