Lew Randall, a native of Norwich, Conn., was a three-sport athlete at AIC, participating in baseball, football and basketball. Earning his greatest accolades on the diamond, Randall was drafted by the Cleveland Indians and played third base and outfield in the Indians’ and Washington Senators organizations. Randall would later go on to earn his doctorate.
 
He went on to become a renowned educator in Connecticut, working for 32 years in the state’s educational system. Dr. Randall served as a director at several vocational schools in the state and also served as a consultant to the Department of Education’s central office. He retired in 1997 as director of Cheney Regional Vocational School in Manchester. He serves as an alumni representative to the AIC Board of Trustees and also chaired the AIC Alumni Association.
