Alan Bush was a two-sport star at AIC as a member of the baseball and basketball teams. He captained both teams and received the President's Cup his senior year as the school's most outstanding senior athlete. 

Bush played point guard on the AIC basketball team and led the Yellow Jackets to three consecutive regional titles and three Elite Eight appearances. The team finished third in the nation in 1969. He was the first player to earn the team's Hustle Award in back-to-back seasons and was named MVP of the 1969 homecoming game vs. Springfield College. 

Bush was the second baseman on the baseball team and was a two-time All-East selection. He was also a two-time All-Star in the Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League and continued to play semi-professionally in the Tri-County League (Mass.) from 1971-81.
