Dave Forbes skated for the Yellow Jackets from 1967-71 and was selected as an All-American, as he was named to the CCM All-America squad his senior season. The forward was also an All-ECAC selection his senior year. In 1968-69 Forbes was a member of the team that captured AIC’s first ECAC title with a 7-6 win over Norwich. He wrapped up his career with 89 goals and 62 assists for 151 points. 

Following his career at AIC, Forbes went on to a nine-year professional career that saw him skate in the NHL for a total of six seasons. Forbes spent four seasons with the Boston Bruins (1973-77) and played in the 1974 and 1977 Stanley Cup finals for the B’s before wrapping up his NHL career with the Washington Capitals. In 363 career NHL games Forbes totaled 64 goals and 64 assists for 128 points.
