Jeptui Cherutich '14 was inducted into the AIC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024, following an outstanding cross country and track and field career.

One of the first dominant women's distance runners in AIC history, Cherutich three-peated as Northeast-10 Conference cross country champion, winning the title in 2010, 2011, and 2012, qualifying for the NCAA National Championship in each of those three years as well as she won the NCAA East Region crown. In 2012, she earned All-American status with a 16th-place finish at nationals.

In addition to owning the NE10 and East Region in cross country, Cherutich continued to outrun the competition in track. She won eight individual titles on the track at the conference level, including multiple wins in the mile and the 3000 at the conference's indoor championship. Three additional times, she qualified for the NCAA Championship, giving her six NCAA appearances total.
