Lucien Plante was a two-sport star while at AIC as a member of the baseball and men’s basketball teams, earning him the College’s F.J. Maloney Award in 1957. He earned all-New England baseball honors in 1956 and finished his career with a batting average over .350. He fell just shy of being a 1,000-point scorer on the hardwood, totaling 944 career points and 648 career rebounds while averaging nearly a double-double his sophomore through senior seasons.
