SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - One of the most prolific scorers in the history of the American International College women's lacrosse team earned another accolade to close out her fantastic career, as
Gabrielle Walz was named to the Northeast 10 Conference's 2026 All-Conference team as a midfielder on the Third Team for the second time in her career.
Walz led the Yellow Jackets in 2026 with 38 goals and 47 points, including 20 goals and 24 points in NE10 play, while also winning 59 draw controls and 38 ground balls, and causing 17 turnovers. She was one of 11 players in the conference to average more than 2.5 goals per game.
In the season finale against Saint Anselm College, she scored a hat trick to reach the 100-goal plateau for her career, becoming the eighth player in program history to achieve the feat.
Her 137 total points ranks seventh in program history, while her 179 draw controls rates her second behind only Cheyenne Carden. She also reached the 100 career ground ball mark.
In earning her second All-NE10 honor, Walz joins a small list of talented Yellow Jackets to gain two such accolades for the women's lacrosse program; Carden (2015 and 2016), Corrie Ackerley (2001 and 2004), and AIC Hall of Famer Judith Swift (1999 and 2000) are the others.Â
