Purple Knights crash Senior Day for Women's Lacrosse

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - Saint Michael's College defeated the American International College women's lacrosse team 17-3 in Northeast 10 Conference play on Saturday, April 18.

AIC is now 1-13 overall and 0-8 in the NE10.

The Purple Knights scored the game's first 12 goals before Isabelle Stone broke the run at the 12:52 mark of the second quarter.

AIC's other two goals were in the fourth. Gabrielle Walz notched a solo tally on a breakaway after a foul at 4:38 of the period, while Kathryn Lettieri set up Kaileigh Kelleher for a man-up marker at 8:52.

Walz won three draw controls; her 175 career draw wins mark her second in program history, behind only Cheyenne Carden's 224. 

Maggie Kloster made 13 saves. 

AIC has one remaining game, a tilt with Saint Anselm College on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m.
