SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's lacrosse team fell 25-3 to No. 21 Saint Anselm College in Northeast 10 Conference play on Tuesday, April 21.
AIC ends the 2026 season at 1-14 and 0-9 in the NE10.
The Hawks showed why they have been nationally ranked all season with a dominating first frame, scoring 11 times, and led 14-0 before Walz scored her first of the game, an unassisted strike at 6:16. At halftime, AIC trailed 18-1.
Saint Anselm rolled to a 22-1 lead in the fourth before Walz hit the net again, drawing a free-position bid and scoring at 3:45.Â
Down to the final moments, Walz gained the ball one final time, winning a draw control and charging down field to the right of the cage. She drew a high stick that led to a yellow card and one last free position bid. The senior did not miss, burying her final career shot attempt at 13:24 for the 100th goal in her time at AIC, becoming the eighth player in program history to net 100 goals and the first since both
Riley Brennan and Jessica Lawler reached the mark in 2017.
On top of the hat trick and 100th goal, Walz reached 100 career ground balls gathered with a pair in the game and won four draw controls to end her career in second all-time with 179 wins, trailing only Cheyenne Carden's 224 from 2013-16; her 59 this year are the fifth-most in a season in program history, while her 55 in 2025 is now sixth-most in a single season.
Maggie Kloster made 13 saves on the night to total 169 on the season and 347 for her career; in just two seasons of play she already ranks fifth in program history for saves.
