SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's lacrosse team fell 22-4 to Bentley University on Friday, April 10 in Northeast 10 Conference play.
AIC is now 1-11 overall and 0-6 in the NE10.
Isabelle Stone scored the game's first goal at 1:36 on a strong solo effort, but the Falcons controlled the rest of the period, scoring nine times to take a 9-1 lead after one.
Stone started the second strong for the Yellow Jackets as well, taking a feed from
Gabrielle Walz and finishing just 19 seconds into the frame, but again Bentley took over from there; the period did see six scoreless minutes, but the Falcons struck five times in the final 8:33 and led 14-2 at the break.
Bentley scored five goals in the third as well as the first goal in the fourth before Walz struck at the 4:27 mark; the Falcons notched the next two before Walz set up
Kaileigh Kelleher for the game's final tally at 12:12.
Apart from her three points, Walz grabbed five draw controls and four ground balls.
Maggie Kloster made 17 saves, reaching the 300 save plateau for her career.
The team plays its final road game on Wednesday, April 15 at Southern New Hampshire University at 4:00 p.m.
