SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – American International College head football coach Dan Chipka announced the addition of AJ Locke as a volunteer assistant football coach, who will work with the receiving corps.

"Coach Locke is a rising star in the coaching industry and has already provided a tremendous shot in the arm on both the recruiting and player development fronts.  I am excited for Coach Locke's impact on our wide receiving corps, and by extension our entire roster," Chipka said.

"Joining the American International College coaching staff means more than football, it's about becoming a family that moves with purpose, works efficiently, and pushes each other to be better every day on and off the field," Locke said, adding that "Being confident, consistent, and courageous will better your opportunities in football and in your everyday life."

A rising young coach with experience across the junior college, Division I, and high-level 7-v-7 landscapes, Locke most recently served as an Assistant Wide Receivers Coach at Florida A&M University (FAMU), helping develop receiver play, contribute to game-planning, and supporting one of the top programs in the SWAC.

Before FAMU, Locke worked as a Student Assistant/Recruiting Assistant at Coffeyville Community College, where he coached defensive backs during a championship season. His work contributed to Coffeyville ranking among the nation's leaders in interceptions and defensive touchdowns, while helping mentor All-Conference players.

Locke previously spent time at Penn State University as a Student Assistant with Quarterbacks, assisting with offensive preparation, and supporting the drill instruction.

He also served as Head Coach & Program Director for LIVE7v7, leading athletes ages 8–17, coaching quarterbacks and receivers, coordinating offense, and running recruiting visits and developmental programs.

Locke was a two-year Catholic League champion in New York State in 2022 and 2023 at Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville, New York. During his senior season with the Titans, Locke was selected for multiple awards by the state and league committees.

Locke has played football his whole life, committing to Penn State University as a Preferred Walk-On before taking the avenue of coaching.
