SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – American International College Head Football Coach Dan Chipka announced the hiring of Connor Floden as Assistant Football Coach on Monday, May 11.

Floden will be responsible for running the offensive line and serve as offensive coordinator.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Floden to AIC and our football family here in Springfield. Coach Floden brings not only expertise with the offensive line, but also experience coaching multiple offensive positions along with play-calling experience. Throughout the interview process, he impressed us with his clear vision for building a physical, tough, and fundamentally sound unit. We've invested heavily in recruiting over the past few years, and with Coach Floden's leadership, we're confident he will accelerate the growth and development of our players and help maximize their potential," Chipka said.

"Offensive Line was my first love in football and the position I played my whole career. The pressure that is put on this unit in the sport of football is what I live for, and developing young men who embrace the challenge of fighting pressure with pressure is something I'll never grow tired of," Floden said, adding "My wife Alyssa and I are extremely excited to be in the northeast. I began my career in the region, so it feels like my professional home in a way."

His experience includes five previous stops and roles across the offensive side of the ball, giving him a depth of understanding of the entire phase of the game.

He was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at William Penn University in 2024, coaching five players to All-Conference honors including a pair of offensive linemen.

At Davenport University in 2023, he was the running backs coach, and his rushers took both First-Team and Second-Team honors in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, including Myren Harris winning Back of the Year as he led the GLIAC in rushing yards per game.

His other stops include Sam Houston State University as an offensive graduate assistant, where he served as interim tight ends and fullbacks coach, Wagner College as the tight ends and fullbacks coach, and the University of Rhode Island as the quality control coach, working with the quarterbacks.

Floden graduated from Montana State University in 2019, having played with the Bobcats as an offensive lineman. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a coaching minor.
