Football announces expanded 2026 Summer Camp lineup

5/29/2026 2:43:00 PM

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – The American International College (AIC) Football Program is excited to announce its 2026 summer camp lineup, which includes the Yellow Jacket Showcase (May 30), two Youth Football Clinics (June 22–24 and July 13–15), and two sessions of its annual Friday Night Lights Prospect Camp on June 26 and July 24, all hosted at Ronald J. Abdow Field.

This summer marks the debut of the Yellow Jacket Showcase, as Head Coach Dan Chipka and his staff look to kick off the camp season with a premier recruiting event on the final Saturday in May.

"Each year our summer camp circuit has continued to grow, and we're excited to now host a prospect camp during each month of our summer calendar — May, June, and July," said Chipka. "While our Friday Night Lights camps have been very successful in the past, the Yellow Jacket Showcase gives families an opportunity to visit campus on a Saturday afternoon. We've already seen tremendous interest from prospective student-athletes and their families."

The Youth Football Clinic offers a fun and developmental experience for young athletes throughout the surrounding area. This year, the AIC coaching staff will host two separate clinic sessions on June 22–24 and July 13–15. The clinics introduce campers to fundamental football skills in a positive, high-energy environment led by AIC coaches and players. It's an excellent opportunity for young athletes to stay active, build confidence, and continue developing their love for the game.

The Friday Night Lights Prospect Camp remains the Yellow Jackets' premier recruiting event for high school athletes looking to showcase their abilities at the collegiate level. This year's camps will take place on Friday, June 26, and Friday, July 24, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Both sessions will allow participants to compete under the lights in front of AIC's coaching staff through a combination of position drills, individual instruction, testing, and competitive settings.

"We take a lot of pride in our summer camps," Chipka said. "These events allow prospective student-athletes to experience our coaching staff, our campus culture, and the standard we expect within our football program."

Check-in for each Friday Night Lights session begins at 5:00 p.m. behind Butova Gymnasium (125 Cortland Street), with parking available in the tailgate lots.

Cost: $35 per athlete
What to Bring: Helmet, cleats, shorts, and a water bottle
Registration: Available both online and on-site (walk-ups welcome)

"Our staff is excited to work with athletes from across the Northeast and beyond again this summer," Chipka added. "The level of talent at these camps continues to grow each year, and they've become an important part of identifying student-athletes who are the right fit for AIC Football."
