NORTH ATTLEBORO, Massachusetts - American International College women's track and field freshman Sydnee Collins earned the Northeast 10 Conference's Indoor Track Rookie of the Year honors, the conference office announced on Friday, March 20.

Collins finished fourth at the NE10 Championship in the 200-meter dash, but for the season ranked second in the NE10 and East Region in the event, with a top time of 24.83 seconds to earn a USTFCCCA All-East Region accolade.

She is the seventh AIC student-athlete to earn an NE10 Women's Indoor Track Rookie of the Year Award, the most in NE10 history.

Previous Yellow Jackets to earn the award for track are Roxan Foster in 2020 and Yasmine Graziani in 2018, while Jessikha Ribeiro, Dana Bramble, and Brittany Bryant won the Field Rookie of the Year in 2018, 2015, and 2014, respectively.

Rounding out that list is AIC's first-ever track and field All-American, Bidemi Balogun, who won the lone Rookie of the Year Award the NE10 gave in 2009.
