Track takes on DI competition at Seahawk Shootout

STATEN ISLAND, New York - The American International College track and field team competed in its second meet of the indoor season on Friday, December 12 at Wagner College's Seahawk Shootout, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.

On the women's side, Jodiann Ebanks had the top result for AIC, as she finished ninth in a field of 84 in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.80 seconds. 

For the men, Harvey Lys put up an impressive showing in the high jump, becoming the third Northeast 10 Conference student-athlete to clear 2.00 meters on the season; he finished fourth in the event in a field of 25.

Saundrae Palmer Jr. also was strong in the long jump; at 6.88 meters, he was fifth in a crowd of 53 athletes.

The two teams will return to Ocean Breeze after winter break as they compete at the Wagner Invitational on January 17, 2026.
