Per the official release, "The FloCollege CSC Spotlight Award celebrates communicators and CSC staff who go above and beyond to elevate their student-athletes, athletic programs and institutions through strategic storytelling, advocacy and a commitment to excellence. The award highlights individuals who set the standard in the profession by building meaningful relationships, producing impactful content, enhancing broadcast quality, navigating crises with professionalism and championing the achievements of those they serve."
"It is incredible to have AIC Athletic Communications lauded on a national stage; this honor really belongs to the student-workers, interns, and graduate assistants that put in tireless efforts every day to tell the stories of our student-athletes. Representing them and my alma mater, as well as the talented, dedicated professionals across the NE10, is a special feeling," Dussault said.
"We wouldn't be able to operate without the contributions of these finalists and the many deserving nominees who were considered for this recognition," said John Turner, VP & GM of FloCollege. "It's impossible to read through more than 100 nominations and not feel inspired by the passion, creativity and dedication these communicators bring to their work every day. While only a handful could be named finalists, the submissions made one thing clear: college athletics is stronger because of the professionals who work behind the scenes to tell stories, promote student-athletes and elevate their institutions."
In 2025-26, the AIC Athletic Communications staff was responsible for every aspect of webstreaming and in-game statistics for 135 home Yellow Jackets contests, as well as web stories and information on aicyellowjackets.com for every matchup for every team, whether AIC was in Springfield or on the road, including coverage of AIC's women's rugby team that won NIRA and CRC Championships.
Most notably, the staff produced the first two Spanish-language athletics broadcasts in AIC history with coverage of women's volleyball against Franklin Pierce University as part of Hispanic Heritage Month and men's volleyball against Elms College for the program's Grow The Game Night.
In addition to Dussault, the staff was led by graduate assistants Rachel Newman '25, '26 MS and Anella Rossi '26 MBA, and featured 14 student-workers and interns.
