Rachel Newman joined the AIC Athletic Communications staff as a graduate assistant for the 2025-26 athletic year.
A four-year member of the women's soccer team, Newman was a stalwart defender as the team's center back, starting in all 59 games she played across the 2021-24 seasons. She was a 2021 Northeast 10 Conference All-Rookie selection following a campaign where she scored four goals, including a half-field free kick strike that earned a spot on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays.Â
Newman brings tremendous leadership experience to the Athletic Communications staff as well, having served as a team captain in both her junior and senior seasons.
Newman graduated from the College in 2025 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and is seeking a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.Â
