Springfield, Massachusetts — The American International College (AIC) football team concluded its 2025–26 community service efforts this past weekend with its participation in the #GreenNFit "Revitalize Springfield" initiative, continuing a year-long commitment to engagement in the local community.

Partnering with local organizations, AIC student-athletes assisted elderly and disabled residents throughout Springfield with home and yard cleanups, helping to enhance neighborhoods and support those in need. The event served as the final installment in a year-long effort that saw the program complete more than 15 community service initiatives.

In total, more than 100 Yellow Jacket student-athletes contributed over 520 service hours across a variety of outreach efforts, marking a significant increase from the previous year and reinforcing the program's mission to make a meaningful impact beyond the football field.

"Our program is about developing the complete student-athlete," said head coach Dan Chipka. "Service is a core part of who we are, and I'm proud of the way our players continue to represent AIC in the community. Their willingness to give their time and energy speaks volumes about their character."

Throughout the year, the Yellow Jackets were active in numerous service opportunities, including weekly school visits in the Forest Park community through the "Breakfast & Books" program, as well as youth mentorship initiatives, campus events, and environmental projects. Each experience provided student-athletes with opportunities to connect with the Springfield community while reinforcing the values of leadership and accountability.

The team's continued partnership with local organizations, including Revitalize CDC and #GreenNFit, highlights AIC football's ongoing dedication to fostering positive change and strengthening community ties.
