GREENWOOD, Indiana – College Sports Communicators announced its 2025 Academic All-District teams for football on Tuesday, January 6. Santana Fonseca and Brian Lafrance of the American International College football team were among those student-athletes honored.

To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a four-point scale, with graduate students being required to meet that standard for both their undergraduate and graduate work; additionally, the student-athlete must have played in 90 percent or started 66 percent of their team's games. Institutions were limited to six nominees per team.

Fonseca was the team's kicker in 2025, with 33 kickoffs totalling 1671 yards, and was 18-of-19 on point-after tries on the campaign. The native of Sayreville, New Jersey is an exercise science major.

Lafrance was among the team's top wide receiving targets during the 2025 campaign, with 27 catches for 362 yards. He additionally was a returner, taking back eight kicks a total of 215 yards and scoring an 82-yard return touchdown against Bentley University.
