SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – American International College has hired Jacob Chaimovitch as Assistant Equipment Manager, Head Equipment Manager Logan Jones announced on Wednesday, December 3.

"I'm excited to welcome Jacob as our new Assistant Equipment Manager. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for supporting our athletes make him an outstanding addition to our staff. I'm looking forward to having him join the team and taking him under my wing as he grows within our equipment department. Jacob brings great potential, and I'm confident he'll make an immediate and lasting impact," Jones said.

"I am super excited to begin a new chapter in my career at AIC. I'm well connected to the city of Springfield through school and work so it's a perfect opportunity for me to stay local in an environment that I want to thrive in. Logan has been super helpful, and I have a feeling that we'll make an awesome team for the future," Chaimovitch said.

Chaimovitch has a variety of experiences across several areas. Most recently, he was the Operations Coordinator for the 2025 NCAA Men's Final Four in San Antonio, Texas, where he worked through the planning and execution of Fan Jam Community Events. The job entailed assisting with other departments and projects from July 2024-May 2025, and included monthly site visits by the NCAA.

He also was the Athletic Facilities Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the spring of 2024, where he assisted in the management of multiple facilities and events for the River Hawks' 16 NCAA Division I sports.

More locally, he was the Locker Room Supervisor at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's Spalding Hoophall Classic, serving as the first point of contact for fans, players, coaches, and personnel throughout the event, which is the largest high school basketball showcase in the country.

Chaimovitch also provided support at the IWLCA New England Cup in 2022 and 2023, and served as a Springfield Thunderbirds Game Day Intern during the 2021-22 season, working through the team's first-ever run to the AHL's Calder Cup Final, as well as with Hartford Athletic FC in the fall of 2022.

Chaimovitch graduated from Springfield College in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in sport management with a sports analytics minor.
