Before the American International College men's basketball team takes its holiday break, it will host Bentley in a non-conference showdown in Butova Gym. The Yellow Jackets have won back-to-back games and will look to extend their winning streak.
LAST TIME OUT:Both teams struggled in the first half offensively, and neither team could take command as both sides traded baskets in the early going; a three-pointer by
Kassim Kabaput AIC up 14-9 before a free throw and then seven straight points by Concordia's Stephen Milhaven made it 17-14 Concordia, but Kaba answered back with a pair of threes to tie the game and take the lead for AIC.
Juwan Moodyled the team with 14 points and also chipped in three rebounds.

Tahlib Swan each had 10 points. Spruell also had four rebounds while Swan pulled down six. The starting five for the Yellow Jackets - Moody, Spruell, Swan,
Rasheed Howard, and Javyon Pitts-Young - had 52 of the team's 55 points. The deep ball was what allowed AIC to build their lead late in the half;Pitts-Young andSwan each hit one in an 8-0 run for the Jackets and AIC ended the half up 34-28. In the second half,after a seven-point run by the Clippers' Elijah Brown, AIC rallied off eight points, capped with a long three by Moody just past the halfway point of the frame. Concordia cut into the lead several times, chipping away until it was as low as four, 61-56 with 3:35 left after a Brown three, but they could not close the gap further. The Yellow Jackets took the game by a score of 70-64.
The Falcons are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Stonehill, 82-80. The Falcons and Skyhawks were tied with 49 seconds left in the game, thanks in part to the Falcons' Brandon Wheeler knocking down a free throw. With five seconds left, the Skyhawks missed a left wing jumper, but on the rebound a Falcon player found Skyhawk Michael Boen. Boen went to the line with two seconds left and gave the Skyhawks the two-point lead as they took the game 82-80. Bentley was led by Zach Gilpin with 20 points, while Ryan Richmond had 17 and six rebounds. Guard Brandon Wheeler grabbed 11 rebounds and scored five points.
LAST TIME THEY MET:The last meeting between the Yellow Jackets and Falcons came on January 16, 2016 when the Falcons flew into Butova. The Falcons came away with the win by a score of 80-65.
Cameron Dobbs led the Yellow Jackets with 14 points while
Trahmier Burrell had 13 points. Returning Yellow Jackets Moody and Howard scored 11 and 10 in the matchup, while Moody also dished out four assists.

WINNING STREAK:With their win at New Haven and Concordia, the Yellow Jackets are on their first winning streak of the season. The Yellow Jacket have a great opportunity to extend the streak tonight and in their next three games before hitting the road.
