Bell Lands on CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America Second-Team

AUSTIN, Tx. The post-season accolades continue to roll in for American International College women's soccer senior Romina Bell (Stockerau, Austria) as earlier this week she was named a Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America selection for Division II.

This marks the third postseason accolade for Bell who was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team for Division II's District 1 while also being a First-Team Northeast-10 All-Conference selection earlier this month.

The senior becomes the first AIC women's soccer player to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as she has maintained a cumulative 3.88 grade point average as an English major with a minor in Math. She has also been a member of the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll each semester she has been enrolled at AIC.

Bell started in every game since stepping foot on campus four years ago and has been one of the best defenders in the league during that time. She is a four-time all-conference selection and had her best offensive season this past year scoring four goals and adding four assists for 12 points.

She led a defense that was in the top 10 percent of all Division II and finished the season ranked 30th in the nation with a 0.66 goals against average.
