SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - American International College Head Women's Soccer Coach Sam Mitchell has named Rose Gevanthor the team's Graduate Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2026 season, Mitchell announced on Tuesday, February 3.
She will assist in all aspects of the program.
Gevanthor brings both high-level playing experience and hands-on coaching to the field. She assisted with coaching the IFA U16 team during the 2024 and 2025 seasons and has additional coaching experience with the Town of Longmeadow youth soccer teams. Rose emphasizes technical development, game awareness, and confidence-building, drawing directly from her collegiate playing career to mentor young athletes.
As a collegiate player, Rose competed at both Oakland University and the University of Massachusetts. She appeared in 16 matches at Oakland, starting 12 and logging over 1,000 minutes, while tallying a goal and an assist. At UMass, she contributed across four seasons, helping the Minutewomen to multiple shutouts and scoring her first collegiate goal in a 2–0 win at Fordham. Her experience at the Division I level informs her coaching approach and passion for player development.
