Paul Maza# (Valencia, Venezuela) sent a 1-1 pitch over the left field fence with two outs in the top of the ninth to give the American International College baseball team a 6-5 non-conference win over Stonehill College Sunday at Rollins College.
The Skyhawks (1-2) took advantage of a couple Yellow Jacket miscues in the field to score two unearned runs in the bottom of the first, but AIC (1-1) pushed four runs across the plate, all with two outs, in the top of the third to take a 4-2 lead.

Stonehill evened the score in the fourth as sophomore left fielder Michael White (Lisbon, N.H.) doubled down the right field line to score junior shortstop Brenden Shepard (Boxford, Mass.) from third and later scored on a sac-fly for senior designated hitter Mitch Davis (Bow, N.H.).

Sean McClelland# (Chicopee, Mass.) from third to give AIC a 5-4 lead. He then stole second and was thrown out at the plate by LF after Arrichiello singled to left to end the inning. Junior first baseman
Angelo Bruno (Norwalk, Conn.) answered with a solo shot down the left field line to lead off the bottom of the eight to tie the game at five.

Sean Stevenson# (Holyoke, Mass.) went the distance to earn the decision on the mound. He allowed three earned runs on seven hits and three walks while fanning seven in nine innings of work.
Junior Alex McCormick (Weymouth, Mass.) took the loss after allowing two runs in three innings of relief. Junior starter Bryan Galligan (Brockton, Mass.) lasted just two and two-thirds after allowing all four AIC runs in the third. He left the game with the bases loaded.
Maza went 2-for-3 with one homerun two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Yellow Jackets. He also walked twice and stole two bases in the game. Arrichiello was 2-for-4 on the day and also drove in a pair of runs.
Bruno was 2-for-4 with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Skyhawks. Senior catcher Ryan Healey (Lynn, Mass.) and White were each 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI.
AIC will next take on Rollins Sunday at 3 p.m.
