NORTH ATTLEBORO, Massachusetts - The American International College baseball team had six student-athletes earn Northeast 10 Conference All-Conference awards following the 2026 season, the league office announced on Wednesday, May 6.

Leandro Guevara and Leo Vitale earned Second-Team All-Conference, while Cole Patterson and Romel Roca were named to the Third-Team All-Conference list. Patterson and Sam Tanous earned All-Defensive accolades, while Vitale and Wesley Alfonso garnered All-Rookie nods.

Guevara completed his AIC career by batting .299 in 2026; he racked up 32 hits in 33 games, with six doubles and a team-best seven home runs and 28 runs batted in to earn the Second-Team Designated Hitter honor. It is his second All-Conference recognition at AIC after being the First-Team Catcher in 2025.

Vitale made a huge splash in his first collegiate campaign. He held a 4-4 record that included a pair of losses in games AIC fell 1-0, and went the distance six times in 12 starts. Over 70.2 innings, he posted a 3.31 earned-run average and led the staff with 51 punchouts to grab Second-Team All-Conference at Starting Pitcher and All-Rookie.

Patterson added a second All-Defensive nod and his first All-Conference selection as he led the Yellow Jackets by hitting .340 with 55 hits in 46 games. He smacked a team-high nine doubles and drove in 23, and among qualifiers led the squad with a .416 on-base percentage to earn the Third-Team All-Conference Outfield spot. On defense, he completed 119 putouts and added an outfield assist to grab the All-Defensive Outfielder selection.

Roca was AIC's go-to reliever in high-leverage situations, and in 30 innings across 16 appearances he sat down 26 batters by way of strikeout and posted a 3.60 earned run average, saving three wins for the Yellow Jackets in the process to garner his first Third-Team All-Conference Relief Pitcher selection.

Tanous was AIC's starting second baseman for the bulk of 2026, and earned his first All-Defensive Second Base selection as he completed 150 of 154 chances, with 74 putouts and 76 assists. He was part of 21 double plays in the middle of the infield.

Alfonso took over from Nick Serce at first base, and had huge shoes to fill from the reigning First-Team All-Conference Utility selection; he did more than adequately with 32 hits in 44 games, including six longballs, and his 25 RBI was third-best on the team. He also led the squad with 27 walks to garner a .369 on-base percentage to earn the All-Rookie selection.
