ROCHESTER, New York - The American International College men's volleyball team was swept, 15-25, 15-25, 20-25 by Roberts Wesleyan University in an East Coast Conference contest on Saturday, April 11.
AIC is now 2-19 overall and 0-5 in the ECC.
The Redhawks offense was rocket hot in the first set, hitting to the tune of a .435 attack percentage to win the set handily despite nine kills by AIC.
The second saw the defense work well for the hosts, as AIC was held to hitting -.050 in the setback.
AIC pushed hard in the third, but ultimately the home squad came away with the win.
Robert Santana led AIC with seven kills, while
Fabian Lugo added seven digs.
Rian Woods dished out 17 assists.
AIC has one remaining regular season game before the ECC Tournament, as the Yellow Jackets host Dominican University as part of A-Day on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. The match will also serve as AIC's Senior Day.
