SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College field hockey team was defeated 6-0 by No. 6 Bloomsburg University on Sunday, September 7.
AIC is now 0-2 to start the 2025 season.
The Huskies scored the first period's only goal, as Genna Bush put home a pass from Morgan Magditch at 4:04.
Bloomsburg's offense exploded for four strikes in the second, as Alexandra Bliss, Hannah Huddleson, Bush, and Alli Burcher each scored, with Huddleson striking on a penalty stroke and Magditch setting up Bush's second tally.
In the third, Raegan Iasello hit the net off of a pass from Bliss, closing out the scoring.
Frederique den Hartog made 10 saves in 45 minutes of play before being lifted for
Quinlyn Moll, who stopped a pair of shots.
Victoria Nelson made two defensive saves, while
Fenna Voll also had one defensive stop.
AIC will face Lincoln Memorial University on Thursday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.
