WATERBURY, Connecticut - It was a game that featured many opportunities, but only one goal, and unfortunately for the American International College men's soccer team, it was Wilmington University who earned the 1-0 result on Saturday, September 6.
AIC is 0-1-1 on the season.
The goal came early; Alex Tarway finished a feed from Jacques Mason at 8:59.
The quick strike belied the ultimate result to come; AIC put six shots on goal to no avail, and Wilmington was turned back 11 times by Javier Solá Martínez.Â
Wilmington enjoyed a 9-3 corner kick advantage.
The Yellow Jackets will head west to face D'Youville University on Wednesday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m.
