No. 3 Saint Anselm surges to defeat Men's Lacrosse

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire - No. 3 Saint Anselm College pulled away in the second half and defeated the American International College men's lacrosse team 19-6 on Wednesday, April 9.

AIC is now 2-9 overall and 0-6 in the NE10.

Hunter Terlik opened the scoring, finishing a pass from Tyler Goode at 1:21, but the Hawks bounced back, with four goals in the final 8:25 to close the period with a 4-1 lead.

The home squad continued the run through the second and third, building to a 15-1 advantage with 3:07 to play in the penultimate frame.

Cole Gaudet put AIC back on the board with the game's next three goals for a natural hat trick, scoring twice in the third period with assists from Seven Gillingham and Goode before putting the first goal of the fourth away on a solo effort. Gillingham then struck, with the set-up by Blake Latham for his first NCAA point. The Hawks responded to AIC's four with four of their own before the Yellow Jackets finished the scoring on the man-up with 1:10 to play as Jacob Ligor put home a pass from Jordan Boyenko.

Carter Linkletter led AIC with three caused turnovers and six ground balls on the defensive side. Logan Dobrowski made 10 saves.

AIC returns to play Saturday, April 12 at Saint Michael's College. Opening faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
