Kloster, French set career highs as Women's Lacrosse drops NE10 match with SNHU

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's lacrosse team fell 18-2 to Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference play on Wednesday, April 16, despite career-best performances from goalkeepers Maggie Kloster and Emily French.

AIC is now 2-12 overall and 0-8 in the NE10.

The Penmen unleashed a veritable barrage of shots in the first, putting 20 on target, and Kloster did all she could, turning back 11 in the 15-minute stretch.

French likewise was under siege in the second. The Penmen put nine shots on target, and she denied five of them. The junior netminder then added four more saves on seven shots in the third, completing her 30:00 in net with nine total stops, far and away her best showing.

Kloster returned to the net for the fourth, and was pelted again but kept most of the chances out, stopping seven of nine bids in the final frame to tie her career best with 18 saves in half a game worth of minutes.

Isabelle Stone scored AIC's goal in the third quarter, while Jordyn Galgay struck the twine on a feed from Gabrielle Walz in the fourth.

The team returns to action Saturday, April 19 at Saint Michael's College.
