To earn CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a four-point scale and either start two-thirds or play in at least 90 percent of their team's games. A human biology major, Flores Marrero is a strong defender, having grabbed 165 digs and made 355 receptions, receiving at a 97.1 percent success rate.

Both Soto Burgos and Michel are first-time honorees. Soto Burgos, who is also a human biology major, tied for the team lead with 69 blocks and also added 84 kills as one of the team's starting middle blockers. Michel, a nursing major, was an all-around force for the team with 176 kills and 106 digs on the outside.
