SYRACUSE, New York - The American International College baseball team dropped a showdown at Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference play on Wednesday, April 27.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Yellow Jackets kept their grove from the weekend in the top of the first. They scored three runs on three hits. It started when senior Angel Mendez took a pitch off the body and proceed to third on a double by sophomore Michael Cruz. They both came around when rookie Kiernan Caffrey traded places with Cruz. Caffrey came around to score on a single by junior Chad Lavelle.
  • The Dolphins put their first two runs of the game on the board in the second inning to make it a one-run game.
  • AIC added an insurance run in the top third when freshman Austin Bequeath scored from second when classmate Alexander Morse singled to center.
  • The Dolphins added a run in the fourth and two in the fifth to take the 5-4 lead.
NEXT UP:
  • The Yellow Jackets return to action on Friday at 3:30 p.m. when they host Southern Connecticut State University to open the four-game series.
