HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Ravens jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before AIC earned the game's first man-up opportunity and took advantage, with Ben Hardcastle feeding Jason Vickery for a strike at 5:53. However, the Ravens would score three times to close the frame, and add four more in the second for a 9-1 halftime edge.
  • AIC came out strong to start the third. Andrew Boyer set up Seamus Hayes just 40 seconds in for a goal, and the Yellow Jackets cashed in another extra man opportunity thanks to Rusty Stone finding Hardcastle for an open look at 2:34. The Ravens countered with three, but Cody Houghtling added his name to the scoresheet as he set up Boyer for a goal, and after the Ravens scored, Devon Walker closed out the period by striking with three seconds remaining to bring the score to 13-5.
  • The Yellow Jackets did not hit the target in the fourth, and the Ravens ultimately claimed a 20-5 win.
