- AIC began tilting the play back the other way late in the first, as the team's first shot on target, a bid by rookie Jennifer Paulino, was turned aside by Olivia Barnes.
- The home side pushed further in the second quarter, controlling play and generating three chances at the goal in the first six minutes, but Barnes kept the game scoreless through halftime.
- In the third, the Ravens broke through late, as an insert on a penalty corner by Annie Corbett found its way to Alicia Hottleman for a strike at 42:17. Just 1:17 later, Julia Rooijakkers set Hottleman up on a break in to make it 2-0 Ravens.
- AIC pressed in the fourth, and had chances, most notably a shot by freshman Brooke Szafran that Barnes stopped, but the Ravens were able to hold AIC off to earn the win.
