HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The first quarter was uneventful until the very end when a late rush generated three opportunities for Anna Beck. Though sophomore Taylor Wildes stopped those bids, a penalty corner was called, and ultimately the Ravens were awarded a stroke. Beck fired it home for the game's opening tally, officially at 15:00.
  • Neither team was able to generate a shot on goal in the second as the one attempt at each end was blocked.
  • In the third, AIC managed the lone shot on target, a bid by rookie Brooke Szafran that was saved by Olivia Barnes.
  • In the final frame, Beck generated another chance that was saved by junior Jessica Stone. However, the Ravens were eventually able to capitalize on a corner, as Julia Rooijakkers one-timed the insert from Annie Corbett home at 53:52, ultimately creating the 2-0 final.
