Men's lacrosse falls to Bentley

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts Bentley University used a balanced offensive attack to upend the American International College men's lacrosse team 18-5 in Northeast-10 Conference play on Wednesday, April 7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • After a slow first four minutes, Joey Tesoriero started the scoring for Bentley at 4:17, opening a run of five goals, all of which were either scored or set up by Kristopher Campbell.
  • A late penalty put AIC on an EMO to start the second and it paid off, as senior Matt Quinlan set up redshirt sophomore Jason Vickery for a strike 31 seconds into the frame.
  • Bentley closed the half on a 6-0 run to take a 11-1 lead into the break.
  • The Falcons continued adding in the third, but AIC struck late in the frame, as redshirt freshman Andrew Boyer set up redshirt sophomore Avery Foye at 13:15.
  • In the fourth, rookie Tyler Shrewsbury started the scoring at 2:51, and later in the quarter, Vickery set up redshirt sophomore Rusty Stone for two fantastic tallies, including a behind-the-back strike.
  • Bentley hit the net one final time with 34 seconds left for the 18-5 final.

  • AIC hits the road for a visit to Rindge, New Hampshire and Franklin Pierce University at noon on Saturday, April 10.
