HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Dolphins struck first, as Hans Zimmer started the scoring at 1:06. That was the first of six in 7:05 for the visiting squad.
  • Freshman Tyler Shrewsbury put AIC on the board at 9:33 of the frame, set up by redshirt sophomore Avery Foye.
  • Scoring was hard to come by early in the second thanks to good defense at both ends; a Le Moyne goal at 3:14 was answered exactly two minutes later by redshirt sophomore Jason Vickery, who took a pass from Foye at the top of the crease and fired it home on an extra-man opportunity. However, three late tallies put the Dolphins up 12-2 at the break.
  • Out of halftime, the Dolphins scored five goals in a 3:46 stretch, but AIC countered late in the frame as Foye scored a man-up tally at 12:52 from senior Matt Quinlan and Vickery notched his second, also man-up, from Shrewsbury, at 14:14.
  • The visitors scored eight in the final frame for the 25-4 score.

EIGHTY BEATTIE:
  • Graduate defender Eddie Beattie caused two turnovers in the game, extending his own program record.
  • The South Hadley native is the first player in the history of either lacrosse program at AIC with 80 caused turnovers.
