ALBANY, New York The American International College women's lacrosse team fell 12-7 to The College of Saint Rose in Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division action on Thursday, April 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Saint Rose struck first just 37 seconds in on a Deanna Ciliento goal, but the early strike was not followed up until the 8:42 mark when Nicole Taveras scored for the hosts.
- AIC hit the net on a shot by graduate student Krista Iwanicki at 11:12, but the Golden Knights notched two more in the next 2:15 to take a 4-1 lead.
- The teams traded goals over the last fifteen minutes of play, with junior Molly Leavitt finding the net twice and Iwanicki adding a man-up tally, but the Golden Knights took a lead of 8-4 into the break.
- Kaitlyn Jolly started the second half's scoring for the home side at 3:39; AIC senior Devin Coulter countered on a feed from junior Sam Giordano at 6:53.
- Taveras scored again at the 12-minute mark, and though Iwanicki finished a hat trick at 14:15 on a slick pass from rookie Anevay Rice, the Golden Knights hammered home the next two. Rice scored a goal of her own at 19:44, but that was the last tally of the game as the Golden Knights took the 12-7 victory.
