LAST TIME OUT:
- The Yellow Jackets gave No. 7 Pace University all they could in a 22-6 setback against the Setters on April 2.
- Freshman goalkeeper Alphonse Ferrintino stopped 19 shots and kept AIC in the game; the Yellow Jackets held a 2-1 lead after senior midfielder Quinn Caesar's goal at 0:52 of the second, but the Setters found life and ultimately took the game thanks in part to a seven-point effort from Daniel Keenan.
- Caesar and rookie Avery Foye each had two goals; Foye also collected five ground balls.
- Saint Anselm fell to No. 4 Merrimack 18-12 that same day.
- The Hawks and Warriors were deadlocked at 9-9 after consecutive even quarters in the first half, but the visiting side added another nine in the second half while holding the hosts to three to earn the victory.
- Charlie Cullinan and Anthony Busconi each had hat tricks for the Hawks, and Patrick Sweeney notched two tallies and three helpers; Charlie Bertrand scored eight of the 18 Warriors goals, while Sean Black had 10 assists.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
SCOUTING THE HAWKS:
- The Hawks are on a two-game losing streak, but those losses are to top-ranked opponents in Le Moyne and Merrimack; all four of Saint Anselm's losses are to top-10 teams, with defeats against No. 6 LIU Post and No. 1 Adelphi to open the season before wins over Franklin Pierce, Post, and Southern New Hampshire.
- Sweeney's 22 goals rank 10th in the NE10.
- The Hawks are efficient with the man-up, scoring on 41.7 percent of their extra-man opportunities, second only to Merrimack in the conference.
- The Yellow Jackets might be able to take advantage of a conservative defense, as the Hawks have caused a league-low 48 turnovers.
CAESAR CHASES HISTORY:
- Caesar's goal at Le Moyne was his 50th career goal; he currently sits tied for eighth with former teammate McIntyre for eighth at 53 goals. The next target would then become Matt Goodreau's 57 goals, seventh-most in program history.
- He also sits at 73 points, eighth in program history.
