LAST TIME OUT:
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- The Yellow Jackets lost a penalty-filled, high-scoring game at Southern New Hampshire to close out the 2018 season, falling 21-14 to the Penmen on April 25, 2018.
- Witherspoon led AIC with four goals, while Demanche had three and an assist and senior Brittany Hutchison notched two, as did Coulter.
- Davis made 11 saves and had two ground balls to set the AIC single-season record.
- Wilder scored seven goals and added two more assists for the hosts.
SCOUTING THE PENMEN:
- The Penmen are oddly better away from home than in Manchester, with a 4-3 road record against a 1-6 home mark.
- Wilder is a dangerous player, and her 56 goals stand second in the NE10.
- Five Penmen have at least 10 assists, which means the Yellow Jackets defense will have to be prepared for quick ball movement against the fifth-best offense in the NE10.
- The defense for the Penmen is not aggressive; they have caused 91 turnovers, second-fewest in the NE10. That could explain why the Penmen have a league-worst 15.35 goals against average as a team.
O'BRIEN APPROACHES TURNOVER RECORD:
- O'Brien is one of just three players in program history to cause 30 turnovers in a season after Jessica Fontana and Allison Roy did so last season.
- Roy's 36 last season was the program record; O'Brien needs four more to break the record.
- She already owns the single-game mark, with eight against Bentley earlier this season.
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT:
- Five seniors will play their second-to-last home game, with Hutchison and Bates up front, Demanche in the midfield, and Witherspoon along with Mackenzie MacLeod on defense.
- The quintet have combined for 280 games, scoring 255 goals and adding 84 assists for 339 points while causing 120 turnovers, scooping 249 ground balls, and winning 156 draw controls.
