SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts The American International College men's lacrosse team fell 24-5 to No. 19 Assumption College in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup on Saturday, March 23.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Assumption and AIC traded early goals. Brett Jennings opened the scoring for the Greyhounds, but junior midfielder Matt Quinlan struck at 3:47 to tie the game 1-1. However, Assumption controlled the quarter from there, scoring eight times over the final 10:11 to lead 9-1 after one. The Greyhounds continued the run in the second, scoring seven more to take a 16-1 lead into halftime.
- The third quarter was nearly void of offense; Assumption netted an early goal, but freshman attacker Stephen Stratton struck at 6:34 for the only tallies of the frame.
- Stratton and Quinlan each also scored in the fourth, as did rookie attacker Avery Foye, but the Greyhounds finished off the win with seven of their own in the frame for the 24-5 final.
FERRENTI-NO:
- Rookie goalkeeper Alphonse Ferrentino made his second straight start in net and stopped 19 shots for the second game in a row.
