Ferrentino makes 19 save, but men's lacrosse falls to Franklin Pierce

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts The American International College men's lacrosse team dropped a 23-6 result in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup against Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, March 16.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Ravens controlled most of the first, taking a 5-0 lead before freshman attacker Rusty Stone scored at 14:22. AIC cut further into the lead as rookie Stephen Stratton, playing in the field after spending the first seven games in net, scored on an early EMO at 0:44 of the second for his first of the year.
  • The teams traded runs; after the Ravens struck twice, sophomore defender Cam Menard responded with two goals in 1:20 to cut the deficit to 7-4. However, the Ravens went on another run that extended into the third, scoring seven straight to take a 14-4 lead.
  • Stone snapped the streak at 3:38 of the third, but again the Ravens responded, striking for nine straight goals over the majority of the final two periods before senior midfielder Quinn Caesar hit the net at 9:38 of the fourth quarter for the 23-6 final.
