HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Hawks struck early; Kendall Clifford scored at 3:16 of the first and Mary Nee added a second tally at 6:45.
- Early in the second, the Yellow Jackets had a chance to get on the board as the team drew a penalty stroke, but Julia Hand swatted it away to keep her team up 2-0.
- Hannah Friend expanded the Hawks lead to 3-0 at 21:41, and the hosts nearly made it 4-0, but sophomore Nicole Mercadante made a defensive save on a shot by Hannah Potter to keep AIC in the game.
- Freshman Na'Bree Wallace nearly broke the shutout, but Saint Anselm made a defensive save of its own as Sarah Bagley denied the shot early in the fourth.
- Carly LaCasse scored at 54:38 for the 4-0 final.
