RINDGE, New Hampshire The American International College field hockey team lost a heartbreaker, falling 1-0 in overtime in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday, October 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- AIC had the only shot on goal of the first half, a second-quarter bid by sophomore Wynona Shaw that Franklin Pierce's Jessica Strassburg batted out of the air to keep the score 0-0.
- The Yellow Jackets had a pair of bids in the third, with Shaw and senior Georgia Barnes stopped by Olivia Barnes.
- Franklin Pierce finally managed a shot early in the fourth quarter, but freshman Nikki Bates turned it aside; the score remained 0-0 after regulation.
- Things opened up in overtime; Bates stuffed an early bid by Feline van Doorn, and then AIC created several chances off of corners that did not go. The Ravens finally broke the deadlock, ending the game as van Doorn crossed the circle for a one-timer by Christine Jarowicz to win the game at 68:13.
