HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Assumption jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first frame as Deirdre Burchill tallied twice, tipping a shot by Jenna Graf into the cage at 7:16 and then finished a breakout play from Lucy Malia on the right side at 10:41.
- The Greyhounds had an impressive string of chances in the middle of the second frame, with four shots in 13 seconds on two bids each by Burchill and Jennifer Beardsley, but freshman Nikki Bates kept the ball out of the cage to keep her team in the game.
- In the third, Burchill capped the hat trick, finishing a play from Courtney Sickel at 31:14.
- Burchill added a fourth goal early in the fourth on a penalty corner, tipping a shot by Graf on a corner at 48:22.
- Assumption closed out the scoring on a penalty corner, with Malia inserting to Graf for a blast by Paige Laverriere at 54:53 to earn the 5-0 win.
