BLOOMFIELD, New Jersey - The American International College women's soccer team won its second straight game on the road, as the Yellow Jackets defeated Bloomfield College 2-0 in another shutout victory on Wednesday, September 5.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- For the third straight game, AIC held the opposing team to zero goals in the first half.
- The Yellow Jackets controlled the tempo throughout the first half. They were on the attacking end for the majority of the frame, with 10 shots and four shots on goal, while holding Bloomfield to only one shot.
- AIC continued the aggressive play in the second half, as redshirt freshman forward Josefine Stendahl scored the first goal of the night in the 67th minutes. The play was almost identical to the game winning goal vs No. 3 Mercy, with senior forward Federica Frew crossing a pass for the assist.
- It wasn't long until senior captain Johanna Nilsson extended the lead, scoring a goal in the 72nd minute.
- The Yellow Jacket defense continued to look impressive as they held the Bears off the board.
BUZZWORTHY:
- For the second time in her career, redshirt junior goalkeeper Mikayla Demanche has not allowed a goal in consecutive games.
