iSPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College field hockey team hung tight for a half but fell 7-0 to Slippery Rock University on Monday, September 3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Slippery Rock generated the game's first goal on a corner in the 17th minute, as Hannah Downing ripped a shot just inside the right post from across the circle.
Both teams played fairly evenly until the very end of the half, when Kayla Ulrich scored with 2:02 remaining to make the score 2-0.
The Rock scored four times in a span of 8:11 in the second half from 43:19 to 51:30 to take a 6-0 lead.
Both teams changed goalkeepers for the final 16:02; making her season debut, sophomore
Madi Dube made her first two career stops late in the game.
