HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Goals came early for Southern Connecticut, as freshman midfielder Kaitlyn D'Amico gave the Owls a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute of play.
- The Owls extended their lead to two in the 13th minute when senior midfielder Mikaela Magee put in the second goal of the game.
- The Yellow Jackets would respond in the 28th minute, as senior midfielder Federica Frew bended the ball past the goalie from a corner kick to bring AIC within 2-1.
- Both defenders and goalkeepers were on their toes during the second half, not letting anything past them.
- AIC had a couple shots on net during the second half, but were unable to get anything by freshman goalkeeper Abigail Allen.
