SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's soccer team hosted Le Moyne College in a downpour on Tuesday, October 2, winning 2-0 to return to .500 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first goal of the night came from junior midfielder Jennifer Hackett in the 23rd minute.
- With 15 minutes left in the first half, the game was delayed due to lightning. The delay would last for 33 minutes before play resumed.
- Not long after play resumed, redshirt freshman Anniina Sankoh scored on a line drive kick outside of the box to give the Yellow Jackets a 2-0 lead at the break.
- Redshirt junior Mikayla Demanche did not see any shots on goal during the first half; in the second half, Demanche saw one shot on target and saved it, shutting out the Dolphins and earning a much needed bounce-back win.
BUZZWORTHY:
- Saturday's game against LIU Post will be the first nonconference matchup for AIC since taking on Bloomfield College on September, 5.
- It will also be the first nonconference home game of the season for the Yellow Jackets.
